PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Asiatic acid (AA), also known as Asiatic acid, is one of the main components of triterpenoid extracts from the natural plant Centella asiatica (L.) Urban, with an Ussurine type skeletal structure.
Snow oxalic acid was first isolated by Bontems in 1941 and its structure was determined by Polonsky. Research has found that oxalic acid has a good inhibitory effect on microorganisms such as Candida albicans, Candida albicans, Cryptococcus neoformans, Escherichia coli, Sporothrix sp., Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, and Shigella.
They also found that sodium snow oxalate, snow oxalate, and hydroxysnow oxalate had significant antagonistic effects at a dose of 60 mg/kg, which were significantly better than the marketed tricyclic drug doxepin. Therefore, it can be concluded that snow oxalate and its derivatives have strong antidepressant activity.
Centella asiatica acid can significantly increase the glucose output of alloxan induced diabetes mice, but the specific effect is not clear, which may achieve the hypoglycemic effect by inhibiting the activity of glycogen phosphorylase.
